A successful clean-up campaign was conducted at Vellode Bird Sanctuary, engaging 30 students from Gongu Polytechnic College and volunteers. The campaign aimed to protect the sanctuary's ecosystem and promote environmental conservation.

Nature walk was conducted by Erode biodiversity club. 70 bird species were recorded including migratory Common sandpiper. Oriental garden lizard, a bee species ,Chalky percher dragonfly, Pond wolf spider , a paper wasp species were also seen. This wetland is a breeding ground for Little-ringed plovers, Black-winged Stilts , Paddyfield pipits and Indian spot-billed ducks
