*World Mangrove Day Celebration* On *26.07.2026, **World Mangrove Day* was observed at *Vadakku Ammapattinam* to create awareness on the importance of mangrove ecosystems and coastal conservation. The programme witnessed active participation from *Village Mangrove Committee (VMC) members* and local villagers. Awareness sessions were delivered by the *Forest Ranger Aranthangi,Forester **VMC Leader, highlighting the ecological significance of mangroves and the need for their protection. The programme concluded with a **mangrove plantation drive*, reinforcing community participation in conserving the district's coastal biodiversity.
